Carnival Australia has announced changes to its Australia-based year-round fleet, which will see Princess Cruises’ 77,441gt/1997 built Dawn Princess transfer to P&O Cruises Australia from May 2017.

The 2,000-passenger ship will become the sixth and largest vessel in the Australian fleet with this development following quickly on from the fourth and fifth ships Pacific aria and Pacific Eden joining the same fleet.

The void left by the Dawn Princess in the Princess Cruises’ operation in Australia will be filled by the 108,865gt/2001 built golden Princess, joining the Sea Princess and Sun Princess in the year-round fleet from May 2017.
