The restored/rebuilt paddle steamer Medway Queen was towed out of the Albion dry dock in Bristol on 24th of October and moored up in the Floating Harbour opposite the dock.

The tug Christine, operated by A. J. & A. Pratt of Rainham, was contracted to tow the Medway Queen back to Gillingham and arrived in Bristol on Sunday 13th October. On 31st October the ensemble sailed to Avonmouth to be ready for a 48 hour weather window to get them around Land’s End and along the south coast bound for the Medway.
