On 8th September it was announced that Condor Ferries CEO James Fulford had resigned after 18 months at his post and was replaced by Wightlink CEO Russell Kew who will oversee both companies for now.

Mr Fulford joined Condor Ferries in January 2013 and oversaw the buying of the new 102 metre trimaran to serve the routes between the Channel Islands and the UK. The reason for this upset is not clear but it is understood that some of the changes surrounding the new fast craft may be involved plus the envisaged two return trips per day from Poole may not be as achievable as originally hoped due to the longer crossing time and a longer turnaround time with a larger vessel size.
